Getting Started with Sports Hypnosis
A very interesting
thing about hypnosis is that you are working with your
subconscious mind, which has its own wisdom. We have
things that we want to work on, but the subconscious
mind knows the things that will really make a
difference.
You may think you
need to work on “playing under pressure,” because you
have had trouble performing when competitions are on the
line. It may turn out in the session that
subconsciously you are afraid to win. So we will work
on that.
Nevertheless, we
need a starting place for a session. I have clients
sort through an extensive list of things that might be
helpful for them to work on in the first session if they
are not absolutely clear. Here is a sample of some of
the “affirmations” that are included in the list. There
are over 200 items on the list.
